Stevia veilig, zelfs medicinaal!

Ondanks alle ontkenningen van fabrikanten, media en (para)medici raakt eindelijk meer bekend dat synthetische zoetstoffen zeer ongezond zijn. Volgens diverse studies zijn ze verantwoordelijk voor overgewicht, diabetes, hypertensie, cardiovasculaire ziekten:
31% meer risico op beroerte (obesitas: 60%!); toename van kankerrisico globaal 13% (aspartaam 22%!).
Als reactie wordt nu ook stevia verdacht gemaakt…
Stevia is geen wondermiddel tegen obesitas of om te vermageren; maar in tegenstelling tot synthetische molecules:
- is stevia(extract) een natuurlijke, plantaardige stof, met een eeuwenlange voedingstraditie.
- is stevia stabiel bij verhitting.
- de veiligheid werd zéér uitgebreid onderzocht en getest (professor Geuns, KULeuven), iets wat bij kunstmatige stoffen niet onafhankelijk gebeurde.
- er zijn meerdere medicinale toepassingen van stevia-extract wetenschappelijk aangetoond: antioxidant, hypertensie, diabetes, tegen kanker, bij Lyme en Covid-19… Daar zijn dan wel hogere doseringen voor nodig, en die zijn helaas niet toegelaten.
Let wel op: combinatie van stevia met suiker of synthetische zoetstoffen doet de voordelen teniet!
